This hit home for me. I tend to get very tired, my brain feels very muddy, like I can't work on the issue because I can't think straight.

One thing that helps me is to write out the situation. I start by writing what I know about the issue or topic. Then I write out what I need to know or to figure out. If needed I write down the questions I need to get answers to. Sometimes I write a draft email hashing it all out. It helps me get clarity on where I am in the situation and defines what action and info is needed. I also write why I am finding the task hard. Often it's because I fear looking stupid or upsetting someone, but other times it's because I was unclear on what I needed to do to solve it. It makes everything clearer and more concrete on paper rather than a confused vague, mess in my head.

Hey Dr. Judy, this was a great post! I don’t have ADHD, but it does get hard for me to focus sometimes throughout the day. I love how you talked about getting up and shaking your arms and legs! I’ve also already noticed some good benefits from breath work! Gonna try all of this out. Thanks!💪💪💪
